Anyway, I haven't posted anything on the blog for awhile which is due to the fact that firstly I moved the blog (link at the bottom) since Myspace blogs have been glitching like hell, and secondly that I haven't had time to do a whole lot. Another reason is that most of what I have been doing is underground, meaning I'm not totally comfortable sharing it. BUT, I've been doing a lot of lyrics composition (I'd write the whole damn song and produce an album but I'm terrible at writing music,) and wouldn't mind getting a little feedback. I have no idea what it would sound like, so I guess for now it's just poetry. Be forewarned: a lot of my lyrics thus far are pretty soft, but I'm working on some heavier stuff well. This is one I did in the last 4 hours, what do you think?
Sunlight falls like rain
On a day so filled with life
Planning for the future, no time for the past
Do you ever stop and wonder, how long it may last?
You seem to act like you don’t care
Why do you pretend?
How can you not be aware?
All good things come to an end
The red orange glow
Slips beneath the purple hills
In to the dark and out of sight
As your last day fades to night
Just another day of days
As your heartbeat slowly dies
Thinking back on how it’s been
Memories revive
When good things end
~ ~ ~
Two hearts beat in the shade
In a summer filled with love
Looking in each other’s eyes, lying in the grass
Do you ever stop and wonder, how long it may last?
You seem to act like you don’t care
Why do you pretend?
How can you not be aware?
All good things come to an end
The last leaves fall
The shades of autumn fade to grey
Words cannot say how much you miss her
Conquered by the cold of winter
Just another world of pain
For the gold times you now yearn
Thinking back on how it’s been
Lessons learned
When good things end
~ ~ ~
The snow is thawing
Off the ridges of your heart
The pain is dulled, you lose the sting
As the coldness melts to spring
The days of life, the seasons of love
They all arrive, they all depart
But all your troubles you will soon mend
Since good things start
When good things end
Night fades into day
Winter fades to spring
There is always hope
When good things end
I should mention that this is unofficially copyrighted, meaning that if I see anyone performing this word for word I'll go onstage and rip their balls off. And if they don't have any, I'll rip them off anyway.
